Discover the Cost of Our Premium Beef!
At Tucker Creek Ranch, the cost of our beef is determined by the carcass hanging weight at the time of harvest, along with the processing fees paid directly to Matt’s Custom Meats. The final cost may vary slightly depending on the quantity purchased. Let’s dive into an example using a 700-pound hanging weight:
For a Whole Beef:
700 lb. HW x $4.50 = $3,150 paid to Tucker Creek Ranch
700 lb. HW x $1.00 = $700 cut & wrap fee paid directly to Matt’s Custom Meats at pickup
Total for a whole beef: $3,850
For a 1/2 Beef (350 lb. HW):
350 lb. HW x $4.75 = $1,662 paid to Tucker Creek Ranch
350 lb. HW x $1.00 = $350 cut & wrap fee paid directly to Matt’s Custom Meats at pickup
Total for half: $2,012
For a 1/4 Beef (175 lb. HW):
175 lb. HW x $4.95 = $866 paid to Tucker Creek Ranch
175 lb. HW x $1.00 = $175 cut & wrap fee paid directly to Matt’s Custom Meats at pickup
Total for quarter: $1,041
Wondering about the Process?
It all begins when you place an order for your desired beef and make a deposit. Our processing dates are planned well in advance, allowing us to provide you with an estimated readiness date for your beef. About a week before the scheduled harvest, we’ll reach out to confirm your order details and update you on any changes to the processing date. Once the animal is harvested, we’ll send you an invoice via email, including the weight and the remaining balance (minus your deposit). The final invoice is due within 5 business days. At that point, you’ll be contacted by Matt’s Custom Meats to discuss your cutting instructions. They’ll also notify you when your order is ready for pickup. The processing fees will be paid directly to Matt’s Custom Meats upon beef pickup.
Why Pay a Deposit?
Raising our premium beef takes approximately 28 months, from breeding to processing. We invest a significant amount of time and effort in planning, feeding, and caring for our cattle. To ensure we meet customer demands, we require a deposit when placing orders. Our beef often sells out months in advance, so don’t hesitate if you want to secure your order.
When Will Your Beef Be Ready?
We schedule our processing dates a year in advance. Though we strive to provide accurate information, unforeseen circumstances and high demand can sometimes lead to schedule changes. Rest assured, once the animal is with the processor, they dry age the carcass for approximately 2 weeks before processing it into individual cuts according to your instructions. On average, your gourmet beef will be ready for pickup about 3 weeks after the animal is harvested.
